Come let me take you by the hand.
We'll visit an enchanted land,
where two small princesses did dwell
and daily cast a magic spell.
An asphalt drive would often be
a wide expanse of deep blue sea.
The parking area just beside
was a pleasant lake, calm and wide.
A cardboard box became a boat
where the princesses could float
among the gold Magnolia leaves
(they turn into fish if one believes).
One day they ventured out to sea
but hurried back in time for tea,
Often pirates came that way, and
pirates steal princesses, they say.
The lawn became a forest deep
where a sleek black cat would often sleep.
When told he was a panther beast
he was quite pleased to say the least.
All magic spells must end, we know,
and little princesses must grow.
But the Enchanted Land remains the same
in the memories of those who claim
to have been there once upon a time
when imagination was in its prime.

were called Badgetts, small people with large imaginations.
Visitors were welcome on special occasions, such as tea
parties and nightly openings of the evening primroses.)
