Benjamin Johnston Anderson, 1854-1943

Benjamin, seen here with his horse and buggy, was my great grandfather. That's a traditional, horse-hide, leather coat that he is wearing so it must have been cool and probably early Autumn as the leaves are still on the trees. If you look closely, you can see the buggy whip in the background by his left shoulder.

I was able to identify the approximate year that this photograph was taken as another family photograph with the same border was dated 1926. It was taken at the Anderson family farm in N. Plantagenet Twp., Prescott Co., Ontario, CANADA.
