These are my grandparents, or as I used to call them when I was a child (and still do), my Babcia and DziaDzia.
This is a crop of their wedding portrait taken in 1909 in New Jersey, U.S.A.. The portrait is a black & white photograph which was hand colored.
I remember that my Babcia had flawless white skin, beautiful blue eyes, and light brown/blonde hair. My mother once told me that Babcia actually had coal-black hair and that she used to dye it a light brown as she disliked black hair. This wedding portrait shows her with lovely black hair. Either way, she was lovely.
