Johnstone Farmhouse at Corehead

This is an image of the farmhouse at Corehead taken by Chris Halliday. It is no longer owned by a Johnstone.

There were 2 Johnstone families who owned Corehead.

The first Johnstone of Corehead family was descended from Herbert, son of Sir Adam Johnstoun.

The second Johnstone of Corehead family was descended from an illegitimate son of another branch of the chief's family.

I need help. My 4th Great Grandfather Andrew Johnston (wife Martha Davidson) was a minster in Northern Ireland, my 3rd Great Grandfather is Adam Johnston (born 1842). The story is Andrew Johnston left Scotland because of a "falling out" of the Johnston Clan. Andrew Johnston (1801 - 1846) died during the potato famine. His wife, Martha and most of the children arrived in the U.S. in 1865 and are found on the 1870, Mercier, PA census records. Myself and 20 Johnston cousins have been trying to find out the link and the father of Andrew Johnston. Can you help? Does any of this sound familiar?
