Here is Tara on her tree perch which is not recommended. It has worked beautifully in our training, and it was very convenient; however, as others more experienced than I were quick to point out, it is a potentially dangerous perch as the hawk could attempt to escape the other way and get tangled up with the branch and be injured. I was quick to change this set-up. A wrap of Astro Turf over the top of one of the creance posts provides a much safer perch now.
