Grain is like that of a butternut wood. Mannington HD Omni a fiberglass padded vinyl. Living above someone, hardwood, tile even cork is not allowed except in entry and kitchen, but since I wanted to extend down the hallway a padded vinyl was approved. Looks quite realistic, more so than the high end laminate I had in my other place. And so much quieter and easy on the joints.
