Bat Boudoir

....or "The Dark Knight" as my hubby referred to it.:o)
Other than sharpening & resizing this is basically straight from the camera, with infrared lighting in the habitat.

Bats are the only mammals capable of true flight.
They eat approximately their weight in insects daily, pollinate flowers and disperse seeds.
Their guano is rich in nitrogen and is used as fertilizer.

Wow! I feel like I am going to see him turn into a vampire. Bats are too cool! Whenever I go to Austin, there's a bridge they live under and to watch them come out at dusk is amazing! Great capture here!
