Enjoying a break in the sun

Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge

As we expolored Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, we saw quite a few dragon flies flitting about. Most stayed in the air, or landed in the weeds too far out in the many ponds. This one got close enough for me to capture.

Oops my mistake, I thought I saw the name DaveV on the heron photo. Maybe since it was so good I automatically figured it was Daves. Paul

Dave V and I were at different parks. Dave was at the Ft Snelling State Park along the Minnesota River near St Paul. I was up north at the Sherburne Wildlife Refuge. The State Park is large, but the refuge is huge - many miles square on a side. Jim

Love the detail in the wings. If the camera times are correct it looks like you and Dave V were at the same place at the same time. Did you two cross paths or is the place too massive for a happenchance like that. Paul.
