Thank you CameraShy09, shu, Nico and Techo for your kind remarks.

Techo, I'm not sure to which spot you refer... but have tried guessing - am I close?

Great creativity! and the outtake is fun to look at. I can see why you chose the one you did as the blend effect is best here. Would only perhaps suggest some darkening to that spot near the right side of the blended expression that blends into the black background. So the edge is as smooth as the left side's edge.

Marvelous! Well conceived and executed. Thanks for including your "outtakes." They are fun to see, too. - CameraShy09

Thanks Olaf for commenting and for your question.

I shot about five dozen exposures and I probably would have done more if it hadn't been for the early morning light intruding into my work space.

In all instances, the camera was set to bulb and triggered remotely using a wireless device while the flash (Speedlight 580EX) was triggered manually. It was largely trial and error in flash placement and flash power depending on whether it was direct or bounced. It was also fun!

Impressive! Even more so after I read how you accomplished this. How many exposures did take to get this one?
