I've been looking for someone that had posted the lighthouses I grew up with. Thank you. There's no better sight than sitting at the Seaview beach approach at night and watching North Head cut through the fog as it swept around. Great memories.

I have to agree, these are not that bad. Lighthouses are tough as most require some exposure compensation because they are light in color. A partial metering and maybe a minus1/2 or 1 might do the trick. also some post saturation really helps. I think you did great. I will agree wit hyou on lens choice. the Canon 28-135 IS would have done you justice. thanks for the shots.

One thing is certain: Cape Disappointment is a misnommer!
Your photos are absolutely stunning. Wondrous composition and lighting, they are a joy to behold!
