Huntington Beach

They call the city of Huntington Beach "surf city"; but, as far as I am concerned, it is a city of diversity and pleasant place to live. First of all, the weather is amiably kind almost all year-round with very few extreme conditions, and there are many interesting recreational places such as HB Central Park, Urban Forest, Bolsa Chica Wetland and Ecological Reserve, youth sports facility and library, and long sandy beach with a beautiful pier, etc. I love the city.

Growing up in OC I spent a lot of time near the HB pier. Learned to body surf here. Great shots!

Great gallery.I am especially fond of it because way back in 1967 I and 3 of my friends drove down to California from Alberta,$100 each in our pockets for a 10 day holiday.Holidaying on the cheap meant cutting out some luxuries,like a room every nite.We spent one nite sleeping under this pier>Awoke to chirping birds and bikini babes and us scurrying out of our sleeping bags.Jumped back in the car and headed back down the coast with The Turtles singing Happy Together on the radio.Ah man those were the days!
So thanks for bringing back some fond memories!
