Stunning. V

amazing colours, really abstract but very captivating at the same time, i think its because the eye isn't looking straight at the camera, like it! V

Fascinante photo où la lumière semble venir de derrière l'oeil...

Dare brush aside the jungle. And stare down the moon howling with fearful starkness. As pale terror leaches among the feathery cracks.Stalking the beast within us all.

Such a striking thumbnail when you see it. A must open. Hey Christine.

You really treated this image in a very strikig way.
We see the eye and identify it as a Human one, but when we look at the image as whole there is a strong animal feeling here... The eye looks alert, impossibly big and somehow, you've made me feel like I was a biologist on research work lost in the jungles of the Amazonia who for some brief seconds have spotted a new species... Or maybe it was just a dream under a blue moon... I guess we'll never know...

Oui, c'est remarquable, j'aime le bleu, la blancheur du blanc de l'oeil, les éléments noirs (cheveux?) qui viennent entourer le petit bout de visage visible!

The role of the feathers/hair here for me is a key player in the composition. It frames the the subject eyes and swirls around it almost in the same shape. The contrast between the whiteness of the eyes and the darkness of the blue is incredibly eye catching (pun not intended ;-)). Yes you could make a gallery of self portraits, but I don't know if this is you, and like this you blow us away with the occaisional fantastic image anyway, and there is no pressure to fill a gallery. Great work Christine. K

Bravo. Vote.

Captivating! Even more so because the eye is looking at the camera and not away. The blue and white contrast well and the feathers do give it a little mystery! Great treatment! It is hard to look away from that eye!

Blue mask, odd,but I like the effect.

I am just about ready to leave for Utah and Yellowstone, but I had to stop by and tell you how stunningly incongruous this image. It is as if you have painted your face shockingly blue, leaving only the white of your eye to stare balefully at us. The hint of a feathered mask is there, giving the human eye a touch of the animal. Theatrical effects can stir the imagination, Christine, and when you combine the transformational power of theatre with the power of expressive photography, you create a profound effect on the imagination. We can take this image wherever we want to take it. You have given our imagination a kick start. (You are so skilled at this kind of image -- you could even develop an entire gallery of self portraits, blending the art of theatre with the art of photography.)

Wow - you celebrate the end of this week with a stunner in blue Christine! This alone is worth to mark it as a "theatrical" effect! The feathers around the magical eye could be a part of a mask. What an impact with the bold blue and this eye looking straight to the viewer! This is not only a mindbender for me this is a "mindburner"! Powerful experiment, my admiration!
