A small selection of the many images taken on this spectacular trip around the coast of Norway. We flew to Bergen, spending a night in a hotel before boarding the Hurtigruten vessel MS Polarlys on the coastal voyage from Bergen to Kirkenes and back to Trondheim, from where we would catch a train to Oslo for a final few days.
It didn't all go as planned, though. The boat developed a problem with one of its propellers near Hammerfest, and had to return to Tromsø where the voyage was terminated. Most of the passengers were then flown home, their holidays canceled. We were lucky in being able to join another (southbound) boat, the MS Nordnorge, but we missed out on the most northerly part of the trip. As compensation, though, we had extra time in Oslo.
