Hohenzollernbrücke built originally between 1907 – 1911 after the old bridge was demolished, it accommodated both railway and road.
Destroyed in 1945, it was subsequently rebuilt as a rail and pedestrian bridge. Since 2008, it has become a popular place for love padlocks;
there are now so many of these, adding over 2 tons to the weight of the bridge, that they have been considered a possible danger to the safety of the bridge.
