Kalyazin Bell Tower

Kalyazin Bell Tower – the campanile is all that remains of the Monastery of St Nicholas
(dating from 1694) after Stalin ordered the construction of the Uglich Reservoir in 1939,
and the monastery and town of Kalyazin were flooded.
