The Spotted Lake is a rare natural phenomenon, containing one of the world's highest concentrations
of minerals: magnesium sulfate (epsom salts), calcium and sodium sulfates, plus eight other
minerals and traces of four more, including silver and titanium. As summer progresses the lake
dries out, and the mud forms into white, pale yellow, green and blue circles depending on the
mineral composition. The lake is a sacred and culturally significant site; its medicinal powers
are not to be taken lightly. It is purported to have 365 circles of various shapes,
sizes and depths, and anyone who visits the lake will find the right circle, if he seeks.
