Masts and moon

Knowing the moon was going to be bigger i looked up this location on Total photographer Ephemersis to figure out where the moon would be as the sun was dropping and illuminating the roof tops, using this and google maps I figured the rough location I would need to be. I then checked the weather report and the rest was just setting up the tripod and waiting. And if you believe that you will believe anything. The truth is below

Taken from the supermarket Car Park in Hartlepool, hand held as I got back in the car with the kids. And it was the day before the big moon day.

Canon EOS 30D
1/2500s f/5.0 at 109.0mm iso500 full exif

How great to get the moon in this scene - and hand-held too. At the right spot at the right time - and not planned!!! Well done
