Rainbow Lorikeet

Melbourne, Australia

taking a sun bath in neighbours apple tree
The Rainbow Lorikeet occurs in coastal regions across northern and eastern Australia.
They are arboreal, which means they like trees, and can be very noisy, active and gregarious (sociable)
They will spend long times feeding in trees but in hot conditions will have an afternoon break from feeding
