Me

If I look sad it is because I hate photos of myself. Therefore, this exercise is a valuable one. (I'm also a little sad because here is yet another not quite focused picture!)

Canon EOS 300D Digital Rebel
8s f/16.0 at 50.0mm iso100 with Flash full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Cheryl when I first started the art of photography there was NO WAY I would photograph myself but have learned that by doing so it helps me build skills in using the camera in odd positions, facial expressions, etc. and has become fun. You by using your camera each day will learn about its features and will evolve into an expert. Each Friday is SP day so I look forward to a smile on the next one:)

It is hard to have anything but the 'business' face on when setting up sp's alone. Well, CJ has no trouble, but the rest of us frequently do. I think if you keep at it you'll start to like what you see.

Cheryl, I think this is charming. It looks very natural and warm. Lovely!

Thanks Demmy and Jude. I kept thinking about the remote as I took shot after shot after shot...it is on my wish list.

When I had my little canon powershot s200 point and shoot, my SP's were a whole lot easier to do. I have the Rebel now and just purchased the RC-5 remote. I'm hoping that helps with the focusing.
Smile.. we love SP's!

It is a little tricky to focus an off center SP.
