Lt. Parsley is correct. I was the crew chief on that helicopter from about the Fall of '69 until early '70 when I extended for the 128th. AHC next door. CPT Amons was the XO and maintenance officer. The crew chief I replaced became a tech. inspector.
Ken Williams is off by one year. I was assigned to the 605th in November 1968 and the unit already had this aircraft used for admin runs and other non combat related missions.

The Cdr's aircraft UH-1D was turned in and a new UH-1H model was issued after November 1969. Lt Parsley was not assigned to the unit until after the H model arrived. Which was considered as the Commanders aircraft call sign Pacesetter six.
