Day 9 (June30)
We visit Tugrigiin Shiree, the site where the famous ‘fighting dinosaurs were discovered in the 1970s. We explored thed white-sandstone escaprment and nearby sand dune and then met a young Mongolian college student who hiked us over the escarpment to see an area with bones. Sure enough we spotted a dinosaur jaw bone and excavated it enough to have a look. We then visited near the town of Bulgan a natural spring.
