After marrying the former Susan Herrington (Messick ’64), having a son Scott and daughter Amy, and graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from CBU, I left Memphis and joined Celanese Fibers in Virginia. Two years later (1972), we moved to Texas and I entered the packaging industry with Crown Zellerbach. I spent the next 32 years in that industry holding senior positions with CZ, James River Corp. (VP), Printpack (VP), Quantum Films (President), Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering (CEO and President), and finally PCL Packaging (President). These positions moved our family from Texas to Delaware, to Chicago, to Boston, and finally back to Delaware where we currently reside in Wilmington.
Susan and I live about a mile from our daughter Amy and enjoy all the interactions with her family including our granddaughter Abigail (4) and our grandson Bradford (2). Amy is a psychotherapist in Wilmington. Our son Scott lives in N.Y (Manhattan) where he performs (he is a tenor opera singer) as well as teaches vocal performance. In addition to recently opening my own executive search and consulting business focused on the packaging industry, I enjoy playing golf, fishing, hunting upland birds and waterfowl, as well as a number of activities I am involved in with our local Episcopal parish.

Re: Trying to reach your son, Scott at NYU
Dear Phil:
I am rather urgently trying to reach your son, Scott whom I attended SUNY Stony Brook with from 1993-1995. It concerns a voice student of mine who is scheduled to attend Tisch School of the Arts this fall. I cannot find his e-mail at all. Could he write me or call please?
