I did not realize I was missing until my husband was surfing the Internet yesterday. I am living and well, enjoying my island life. Wonderful husband, six perfect children, 13 exquisite grandchildren and 4 angelic great grandchildren. I worked in the medical profession for 30 years, retired to this little piece of paradise 15 years ago with my husband of 35 years. We became either crazy or civic minded and in the last 10 years have purchased three historic buildings and restored them to their 1886, 1918, and 1923 glory. We are very spoiled to 65 degree winters, no crime, and caring neighbors. I know most of you think Florida is Destin, but if you really think about it, that's only south Alabama.
