Achilles

This guy is always a challenge for me as I seem to always blow his whites out. I decided to just try the automatic portrait setting on the 20D for this one. Suggestions are welcome please.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
1/60s f/5.6 at 120.0mm iso400 with Flash full exif

The detail around the mouth, nose and eyes really make the shot.

Nice looking kitty! For automatic, it's quite good, especially if you did no post processing. You may have to increase you DOF slight be having a smaller aperature (bigger f-number). Below the chin may represent the DOF being too shallow.I suggest learning RAW, so you can play with burnout highlights and shadaws much closer.
