Corrupted image

A quick snap that I took
The thumbnail in camera looks fine but obviously the image was corrupted somehow.

Canon EOS 5D

Ron this has happened to me years ago when I accidentally turned off the camera before it had stopped writing to the card. I also had it happen when I did not check the battery and it died before the last image was written to the card. I would look at the card though.. just a few thoughts....Jess

I suppose the image could be corrupted in the camera. But if that was the case, I'd almost expect it to be repeatedly so (i.e. not likely to happen with just one image alone). Now if things are done in a rushed way, sometimes an image can get corrupted between the time it's on the card to the time it's on the computer. So at least as a first step, if you still have this image on the memory card, try downloading it to the computer again. Sometimes -- just sometimes -- the image is fine but just not so good transfer to the computer first time around.
