From Varanasi I went to a national park in the hope of seeing tigers. I visited the park twice a day for three days and saw three tigers, all on the first day. I was able to photograph only the first as it was lying on the ground. (Judging by the gore-covered bone beside it, the tiger had just finished a meal.) The second tiger ran across the road in front of me, too quickly for a photo, and the third one was barely discernible in the distance.
