For the past three years I have been following the nesting and hatching of a pair of geese. This is the second year that I have been privileged with being able to capture the hatching of some of their young.
Sadly there are a number of abusive on lookers who have constantly threatened this family as well as a number of our other park animals. This year was no exception and due to the number of loud on lookers and those threatening this pair I was not able to see how many of the eggs actually hatched. I went back the next day to see what appeared to be at least one egg that had been removed from the nest by humans and smashed against the rocks. Some of the other nests have had all of their eggs removed, and or smashed. :-(
