BAGS: Hurricane Ike's aftermath: Bags and Bench

The aftermath of Hurricane Ike. On every street, in front of every house, there are piles of black bags full of debris and leaves as well as large piles of branches. I chose to photograph the debris at the local park as I could include objects with the bags to add some interest to the photos. We had very little damage at our home and our power was restored last Friday but there are many families still without power in Houston.

Other views of the park. In the lower image, notice the bags at the near end, a 20 feet section of branches and another pile of bags at the far end.

I'll be down there next week to take damage photos for a magazine....in Galveston. Looks like you have everything under control in your area and I hear the electricity is back on for everyone now. My prayers were with you!
