Welcome to my new gallery!
Another love of mine is collecting Victorian and Edwardian photographs, they come in several formats Cabinet Cards, Cirque De Vistes, Tintypes, Real photo postcrds and real photographs in their original mount.
Some images have slight nudity BEWARE!
All these are between 1836 and 1880.
Sadly they are usually in awful condition, but with a bit of TLC I can restore them to almost new.
Im fascinated about who these people were and what they did, so here my last respect to them.
I have spent many hours restoring each photograph, sometimes days, I have included the original image so you can see the work involved.(Best viewed in Original).
I have used a combination of traditional photography, digital technology and careful, hand-retouching and colouring.
I have removed all the age spots, belmishes, tears, ink marks etc, this often takes an hour or two.
Before even starting the real restoration processes.
Some of these images have taken up to 2 days to finish.
These scans do not actually show all the damage as I have zoomed into 200% + and removed every spot and blemish.
If anyone is interested in having their own prints restored please leave me a message.
I can undertake virtually any level of renovation,eg; tears, creases, burns, scratches, inked, fading etc.cleaning up marks and scratches to fixing major damage, changing backgrounds, adding extra people or pets or removing unwanted people, also making combinations of more than one photograph.
Digital restoration makes sure that original photographs will not be damaged or altered in any way.
Any challenge considered, nothing too difficult!!
Reprints of these images are also available please contact me.
This is an ongoing project gallery, as I have many more images Im working on, so please come back and visit.
Please click next and previous to switch between the images to see the restoration more effectively.
