Several years ago I went to an area near home to photograph a Snowy Owl and Short Eared Owls. This area had lots of Amish. Even the Amish would come in their buggies to watch the Snowy Owl. I was able to strike up a conversation with several of them. I was amazed that they bird watched. They had binoculars and bird books . Anyway, up the road was an Amish Schoolhouse. I would be in the area all day and one day the kids came out for recess. I just had to sneak a few pics. I watched a TV show on the Amish recently which said that they didn't mind their pictures taken as long as they weren't recognizable. Long distance shots of them working were okay too. I decided maybe I could post this image since the boys wouldn't be recognizable. I really try to respect their wishes, but this different culture is just so interesting, that I really would like to document some of it.
