Fourth time was a success though he didn't stay around for long. This was the fourth time I had been to our airport in search of the white, male snowy owl that has been there all winter. I saw him the first time, but he was much too distant to photograph. I couldn't find him the other times. I've seen lots of wonderful shots of him that other photographers have done and wanted some myself. He flew out of sight rather quickly and I could only get a butt shot since he flew away from me. I waited for a long time, but he didn't go back to this site. He probably went to roost on the ground to sleep.
