Visiting, following the Stations of the Cross, and privately praying in at least 7 churches is one tradition done on Maundy or Holy Thursday.
Confessions are heard throughout the day as we reflect and commit penance for the sins made in the past year.

In the late afternoon (5:00 PM) a mass commemorating the Last Supper is celebrated, incorporating within the washing of the feet wherein
the main celebrant (priest) representing Christ washes the feet of the 12 apostles (played by lay ministers) as an act of humility.

Later in the evening there is a re-enactment of the 'Senakulo' or Passion Play. Meanwhile the 'Pabasa' or traditional chanting/reading/reciting
of the story on the Passion of the Christ continues as a separate activity within the parish community, neighborhood, and/or household.
