We just came from a special family reunion (mom's 70th B-day celebration) at a nearby restaurant and were on the way home still in a celebratory mood.
The girl on the right was just then being told that we'd be buying all their 'stock' for the day, and that they should spend the rest of the day
having fun with their families - as children of their age should (you should have seen how their faces lit up after the photo was taken,
but taking another photo would already seem like exploiting the situation). When it was obvious that some adult would only provided
them with more garlands to sell, we left the scene thinking that perhaps these kids will have at least earned more for the day ...
