Tabo (water dipper)

DSC08090-c.JPG

What a Filipino - especially the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) abroad - can't seem to live without ...!

Bobby Bernabe, a Pinoy OFW who works for the TET company in Australia recently caused a controversial cultural debate when
he got fired "for hygenic reasons" after he used a water bottle to cleanse himself (as an alternative to the unavailable tabo) in lieu of
toilet paper after using the bathroom and prefered to get himself fired instead of infringing on his 'cultural' way of cleansing as a result!

He was later reinstated at work perhaps after his employers realized that the ensuing
cultural controversy between the two countries was more than they could handle!

Believe it or not, but the 'tabo' or water dipper as shown here is actually
located in the toilet cubicle of a posh establishment in Pasig City!
