Sunday, 17 August: All Saints, Girsby

Girsby is a tiny hamlet in North Yorkshire.
A local angler directed me towards the path there, as my planned destination, Sockburn Hall, is entirely on private land with no rights of way. Not that this normally deters me, but there are dog kennels on the grounds and I hadn't brought the drugged steak...

Thought I would stick to the brief of the August challenge for once...

Great shot. Good dramatic sky and I love the cross detail on the door.

No drugged steak?
I guess that's the price of being kind to farm animals.
