Wildflowers started to appear in late May. It was wonderful watching various flowers being replaced by others. From middle of June there were lots of thistles and also carragana (Siberian pea). This last is almost a noxious weed in northern Canada but in Mongolia did not grow much higher than about a foot. Different environment - different result!
