While Sandy and I were looking for critters to photograph, we met some friends who were doing a dragonfly count. This spiketail was handheld when I took the shot. While we personally don't net insects, when the opportunity arose to photograph this dragonfly up close, I took advantage of it. After some pics were taken, it was released and flew off unharmed.
