Katie and I spent the Most of Sunday working on installing raised bed planters for a vegetable garden.
The first order of business was to remove about a yard of pea gravel. It was between 4 and 6 inches thick. Walking in the yard is like walking on the beach. So we moved it out one 5 gallon bucket at a time. We filled half the bed of the truck with pea gravel and took it over to a friends place. That was about half to a third of what we want to take out.
Next it was off to the store to get wood and planting mix. We are making 2 raised bed planters. The first is 2 wide' X 12' long X 2' high. The second is 2' wide X 8' long X 2' high.
