Hiking under the canopy of Beech Trees

With ferns lining the trails of the Milford Track. A common sight along this trail.
A very peaceful hike with the singing little birds and the nearby rushing river.

Still on our first day of hiking.
We took a bus ride from Te Anau to Te Anau Downs, then a 1 1/2 hour boat ride to the Glade Wharf.
It was then a short hike to our first night at the Clinton hut.
