December 12, 2004

After this afternoon's concert, we are having our Christmas party. So I baked a raspberry pie. (NOT!) I bought this one from a local pie maker. Only three slices left. There were a lot of good desserts.

It seems two of the composers of music we sang were pleased with how we sang their work. David Sartor came to the warm-up to let us know what he thought of our performance of "Thy Light is Come." He said a teacher of his told him it might be years and years before he heard his compositions performed they way he meant them to be. "After last night, I have." After he left we worked on some problem sections again. Ugh! Modern compositions! Hard to find your pitch. But it is an impressive sounding piece.
