Wow, this is a stunning, wonderful shot... and I say that being another DC'r and hence seen and taken my fair share of metro shots. Great!

Great job Mark - the shot has a 'punchyness' about it?

I like the mix of different curves and lines.. the metals and glass and plastic.. all mix together for a very nice abstract

Wow. Thanks whiskey01! This is handheld, a little camera motion blur at full size, but I think the camera ended up focusing on the station sign on the back wall so the foreground is a bit softer.

As I look at it again I realize that not only did the speed blur the dividers between the windows, but it also removed the doors! That is pretty cool.

Mark, this is incredible! heres a vote for you!

If you used a tripod, did you get any static from the Metro police (or someone else)? I wonder what's worse -- tripods or snacks.
Dennis Steinauer25-Sep-2004 05:09
Love this shot, Mark. Did you use a tripod or just sit your camera on something. (I don't recall ever seeing a flat, horizontal surface (except seats) in a metro station after they removed the newspaper disposal boxes.)
