These photos were taken during on September 8/9th, 2003 during a 3 hour time span between 11PM and 2AM with the Olympus C-2100uz with the B-300 lens attached. On August 27, 2003, Mars came within approximately 34 million miles of Earth. That put Mars and the Earth the closest to each other in around 60,000 years. These photos were taken a few days thereafter (exactly as it occurred) while Mars was still exceptionally close to our planet Earth.

Nice Liz! I didn't know the Uzi + B-300 combination can capture the colors of Mars. You did it wonderfully well.
