Knocked Her Head Off 2009

...after she got a bite out of me.

Although not a planned shot, I had the camera in my hand at the right moment. That's what made this close up photo of the little blood sucker possible. Part of her head is still down on my leg with the blood. Yuk!!! I HATE mosquitos. But they seem to love me.

Nice closeup! I hate them too and used to get welts and itch for days, but not anymore! I've found that crushing a leaf from the plantain weed and rubbing the juice over the bite area stops the itching almost immediately. Very rarely will I need to treat the bite again. Hope it works for you. Let me know.

Me,too, Patricia. I'm very allergic to mosquito bites and end up with the same hard goose egg as you do. And the bite itches almost unbearable for weeks and weeks. Several bites make me physically ill. On top of everything else, I have a body chemistry that attracts mosquitos. Still, I do Nature photography.

Great thats one less to bite us Liz...Hate them as i am allergic to the bites and what starts of a a tiny bubble is soon chicken egg size.....BV
