Most people at the Butterfly Festival claimed that it was impossible to get a shot of a Blue Morpho with the wings open. They are very active butterflies. Unfortunately, when they do finally land, it is usually with their wings closed and their beautiful blue coloring not showing.
However, this Blue Morpho - in full display - came to me!!! He even posed for his photo on the Conservatory chart used to identify him. Note that he his coloring was even richer & more gorgeous in real life than it was on paper.
