Even with my husband back home thousands of miles away, this was a Valentine's Day I'll fondly remember. My Kiwi friend Gail & I had originally planned to photograph more wildlife & New Zealand's rugged West Coast. However, a very rainy day instead kept us in Auckland. This surprisingly turned out to be good. For me, the city was a wonderful glimpse into life in New Zealand - both past and present.

We started with a quick sampling at the Auckland Museum, explored Mt Eden Village, and ended the day at Sky City. As a result, each photo below tells a small story about New Zealand. If you travel to Auckland, chances are that you may see many of the same things. It is definitly a memorable experience.
