Along the Navajo Loop is the aptly-named area called “Wall Street”. Sandstone walls tower above, and tall pines reach for the sky in this surreal place. Wall Street is likely one of the most photographed locations in Bryce for good reason – it is also one of the most difficult to photograph. With heavy snow over the area, it was even more challenging than usual to capture, and I came away with very few satisfactory images. Walking upcanyon and looking down upon the famous tree gave me perhaps my favorite image from this challenging shoot. Interestingly, to get the perspective I desired I had to hold the camera as high as possible above my head, using the swivel LCD on the G2 to compose. Perhaps I need a bigger tripod…
