Great pics, but... you missed the best of the Azores: Vila Franca do Campo.
One of the mildest climates of the world measured as minimal sum of heating and cooling degree days. 800 mm yearly or one fourth of the precipitation recorded 6 km further north, at the top of a 3,000 ft protective east-west oriented mountain ridge, crowned by "Portugal's most beautiful lake", Fire Lake.
The mix of absolute protected southerly exposure, Gulf Stream and Azores High: Riviera microclimate, lush green mountain views and jewels like spectacular Degredo beach (2 minutes walk): no rain six months a year, 20°C + water temperature from end of May to mid November and yet ... a waterfall year round!
