Rosetta Spoonbill_0099

Lake Martin, Louisiana

Gayle and I went to Lake Martin again this morning. Gayle has wonderful shot of the chicks being feed by the parents. I spent the morning learning the in and outs of my new camera and do I have a long way to go. I was amazed at how many people were trying to catch spoonbills in flight so I tried too. This is one of my efforts. Not as easy as it looked. I took over 400 shot with only about 100 worth looking at. Guess I need more practice!

Oh by the way, I am lucky to get 10 out of 100 that I like. There again, digital is great and I think you learn and get better faster because of it.

A D70! Way to go, Breland. I hope you get a long lens for it by next spring. You and Gayle are doing amazing work at Lake Martin!

This is a great capture. Always a learning curve with a new camera. You nailed this one though.

Fabulous Breland.
Good choice of camera, specially since you've got a built in supply of lenses. You are gonna have FUN, and be a force to reckon with.

Wonderful, Breland. My son wants me to get a D70....I'll keep watching your progress. You can do it. It will be a while for me, but perhaps someday.
