Lumicon Super Finder riding the OS Veloce RH200 on the ASA DDM60 Pro

End of night, 29.3.14, pointed at IC 4601

Following several sessions with the ASA DDM60 Pro mount, I have learned that attaching a finder to
the scope will significantly shorten the time it takes to initially synch the mount to a star
(before polar-aligning it) and to help in quickly running the "move star" sequence during the polar
alignment process (see: http://www.pbase.com/boren/image/154656846/original). This indeed had the
effect of limiting the whole process to a few minutes.

Attaching a finder (here: Lumicon Super Finder, with diagonal) to the scope had the great advantage
of being able to peer at the area being imaged... Being so fond of the "at the eyepiece" feeling of
old times, it was great to see actual starlight again...
