The Palawan islands is one of the last truly wild frontiers in the Philippines. It's a place where you'll find an unspoilt emerald sea under deep blue skies, where the air is pure as can be and where the water around you still teem with life.

These photographs were taken in El Nido around Bacuit Bay: on Matinloc Island where there is a prayer center, inside hidden beaches and lagoons, within the fishing town of El Nido, in baranggay Bucana where daing (salted fish) is made, and in Curong-curong where the sunset was absolutely gorgeous.

The first time i've been there with my family, my son only seven years old. Now he already 22 and come back 3 times. I really love that place, very beautyful, clean and peaceful just like heaven. I hope i have chance to come back again.

Hi---A A friend who lives here in the USA & born in the Philippines has asked me to go to her house near ElNido where she teaches yoga from Jan through March. It looks absolutely beautiful and wondering if I should go. Is it expensisve to travel in that area and if so how expensive? Does anyone have some examples of the costs there..
